Wing Chun: Although Gong Wu applies a Northern Shaolin style of fighting in long-range battles, he takes pride in his knack of mixed martial arts, especially with Wing Chun, a micro-explosive style of close-range combat.

Gong Wu is the youngest of four children and was often teased by his siblings, albeit playfully most of the time. Consequently, he developed a competitive nature as a child and would vent his energy on sports and the daily hammering of metals.

He strives to indisputably win, whether it is in a competition or a petty argument. Because of his full-blown determination, he loses the big picture of things and would often get caught up in his own desires to fulfill his goals. Despite so, he will not lose sight of his morals -- for him, the use of under-handed methods to obtain a victory is forbidden.

In terms of relationships, he is dependable and loyal to the people close to him, especially his family. He will continue working on weapon forging until his father chooses to end the business. Even being the youngest child, he will not hesitate to protect his brothers and sisters when the time calls for it.

With a flight of quick jabs that seemed like a blur of motion, the boy landed a rapid-fire succession of punches to the large man’s torso. Wisps of grey smoke rose from his leather-cladded knuckles as he quickly tucked them back to his chest, ready to strike again. The other man, a little over six feet tall and built like a platypus bear groaned as he stumbled back and clutched his stomach area - his canvas shirt freshly singed and skin glowing pink underneath with the force of the blows.

“Had enough? Or do you wanna try that stunt again, huh?” The boy, Gong Wu, lifted his nose in the air with a small smirk on his lips. He certainly looked young - not even past eighteen - but he was more than capable of fighting back against men twice his size, or at least that was what his confidence told him. Nevertheless, Gong Wu was not going to let anyone have their way with him, especially not thugs who targeted children and old ladies for pocket change. If he had a record for anything, it was his school kuai ball winning streak and not-getting-robbed-by-dumb-looking-thugs streak.

Getting socked one was one thing, but the bulky hoodlum wasn’t about to be overpowered by a twerp of his stature. By now, the retreated forms of shop keepers and citizens trickled back into the street, curious to see the outcome of this scuffle between a kid and a giant. Embarrassment was not an option. Clenching his hammer-sized fists, he slammed them together with a mighty strength, shaking the cobblestone beneath their feet. Gong Wu slid back to avoid the fragments of stone, almost losing his posture in the process, but successfully avoided the heavy clusters of gravel and rocks that flew in his direction.

Gong Wu, returning to his initial rooted stance held out his fists to the attacker. A burst of red flames engulfed his hands as he prepared to lunge towards the man once more. This time he was determined to send this thieving earth-bender’s face into the gaping hole he created in Republic City’s street.
